Coruscant

 Background of Coruscant
Coruscant is the bustling heart of the galaxy. A city covers the entire planet's surface. "Coruscant" is an actual word in the dictionary that means glittering.

The name of the planet was coined by author Timothy Zahn who first used the name Coruscant in his Star Wars novel entitled Heir to the Empire (1991).

Director George Lucas decided to keep the name, and Coruscant later appeared in Return of the Jedi (Special Edition, 1997), The Phantom Menace (1999), Attack of the Clones (2002), and Revenge of the Sith (2005).
