Fluffy is the monstrous, fierce three-headed dog protector of the Philosopher’s Stone in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001).
Fluffy is based on the creature Cerberus, the three-headed dog that guards the gate to the Underworld according to Greek mythology. The hero Orpheus puts Cerberus to sleep by play him music, much like the bewitched harp lulls Fluffy into a sleep in Harry Potter.
